Meet the Team - Stacey Dowman

Stacey Dowman

Health and Safety Advisor at ANZCO Foods Waitara

Stacey has been part of the health and safety team at ANZCO Foods Waitara for three and a half months, where she helps integrate health and safety best practices into day-to-day work activities, builds a strong health and safety culture, and supports site health and safety improvements. She says that everyone at ANZCO is so welcoming, friendly, and helpful at all levels of the business - and that everyone really does have each other's backs!

Before coming to ANZCO, Stacey worked in health and safety in manufacturing, and she's also worked at ski resorts overseas, helping with risk management, incident investigation, and public safety. She grew up in Taranaki but lived overseas for many years, and has now been back in New Zealand for five years.

Her claim to fame is that she met Johnny Galecki (from The Big Bang Theory) at a previous job, and she'd never heard anybody swear so much in her life - though he'd had a few drinks!

Outside of work, she enjoys anything outdoorsy and active - especially skiing, hiking, and biking. She also hangs out with her 16 month old son - she says he's ‘Amerikiwian’ (American, kiwi and Canadian) - and spends time with her partner, and their cat.
