ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year competition

The search for the best butchers in New Zealand has commenced.

This competition aims to discover top talent in the retail meat sector, providing participants with a chance to showcase their skills and gain recognition. Participating in this competition offers unparalleled exposure - giving participants a tremendous career boost.

If becoming a part of our highly successful national butchery team (the Sharp Blacks) is your goal, these competitions are the perfect starting point as competition experience is a crucial factor in the selection process.

Regional competitions will take place throughout June and July, with the Grand Final being held Thursday 24 August, at Auckland's Eventfinda Stadium. Register now and become the best butcher you can be!

Prizes 

Title winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip and the opportunity to represent New Zealand at the World Champion Butcher Apprentice and Young Butcher competition, as part of the next World Butchers' Challenge!Entries for the 2023 Pact Packaging Young Butcher and ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year are now open.

Entries close on Friday 2 June.

The regional competitions will be taking place throughout June/July.

• Waikato Thurs 29 June
• Auckland Sat 1 & Sun 2 July
• Wellington Fri 7 July  

The Grand Final will be taking place on Thursday 24 August at the EventFinda Stadium, in Auckland.
