Administration Manager, ANZCO Foods Canterbury
I enjoy the people I get to work with, the challenges put in front of me daily and the opportunities to grow as a person and in my career.
I had been with ANZCO Foods for just under two years when I was appointed to the role of Administration Manager in early 2020.
My first role with the company was Co-Products Administrator where I took on a project management role to upgrade the casings and fellmongery departments including introducing new technology into both departments. It was a challenging and exciting opportunity that helped me develop my leadership skills, relationships with people and understand the importance of time management.
It also helped me to better understand department processes and provided me with a chance to problem solve. I have become more confident and feel I can use these new skills in my future roles within the company.
In both roles I’ve held I’ve been able to work closely with a variety of people. As Co-Products Administrator I worked closely with marketing, logistics, documentation, outside processing and our customers. In my new role, I work more closely with the leadership team at the Canterbury site and the corporate finance team.
The Co-Products team played a huge role in my development. They have supported and encouraged me throughout my journey at ANZCO and I wouldn’t be in the role I am today if it wasn’t for them.
I am passionate about what I do because I like the product ANZCO Foods produces. In my new role I can help support the Canterbury site so that it can continue to grow.
