ANZCO Foods CEO Update - June 2024

I had the pleasure of attending our first ANZCO “Chew the Cud” event in Hastings at the end of May. It was a valuable opportunity for us to catch up with farmers and for farmers to take a break from their daily routines, hear from influential speakers, and network with industry peers. Attendees connected with our ANZCO Foods team, discovered on-farm benefits, and exchanged insights with fellow farmers.

Keynote speaker Vangelis Vitalis, Deputy Secretary Trade and Economic, provided insightful global context on New Zealand trade negotiations. Straight-shooting economist Cameron Bagrie offered an analysis of the New Zealand economy, and Otago farmer and TV personality Matt Chisholm shared his personal journey with depression and mental health, offering crucial takeaways for those facing similar challenges. And, our ANZCO team provided updates on our business initiatives and ongoing support for our suppliers.
