ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice

The ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice competition was held in late August. Congratulations to Anton Rameka of New World Regent in Whangārei, who took home the title of Butcher Apprentice 2024.

Anton says he owes the win to his organisational skills, technical ability, and creativity. He’ll be joining the New Zealand Young Butcher’s team in Paris as part of the World Butchers’ Challenge, winning an all-expenses paid trip to the competition. Congratulations also to runner-up Alex Pellow from New World Mount Manganui, who took home a cash prize and a Victory Knives set.
