Back to Base challenge

This August, the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust is challenging you to walk, run, ride, or ski ‘Back to Base’, covering a distance the helicopter would travel during one of its missions:

• 9km – from Christchurch Hospital helipad ‘Back to Base’ near Christchurch airport
• 49km – from Akaroa to Christchurch Hospital and ‘Back to Base’
• 97km – from Mt Hutt to Christchurch Hospital and ‘Back to Base’
• 155km – from Timaru Hospital to Christchurch Hospital and ‘Back to Base’
