Cyber Smart Week - Monday

Posted on Monday, 21 October 2024

Keep yourself safe from phishing attempts by knowing what to look for. Phishing can come in many forms:
  • Attachments you weren’t expecting
  • Requests for sensitive information
  • Scare tactics and prompts for a quick response
  • Promises of money or prizes
  • Links that appear safe but are actually dangerous
Keep yourself safe:
  • If you’re suspicious of an email - don’t click on it!
  • Double check requests for login details, bank transfers, and sensitive information
  • Hover over links before you click to make sure it leads to the right website
  • Most email providers have a way to report spam or phishing. If you suspect an email isn’t quite right, report it!
  • If you’re using an ANZCO email address and are suspicious of an email, contact the ANZCO Assist Helpdesk immediately (they’ll talk you through what to do), or use the Phish Alert Report button in Outlook

Head to the ANZCO internal Facebook group to enter Monday's quiz!
