Hakatere Marae Matariki event

To celebrate Matariki, Hakatere Marae in Ashburton is hosting a Matariki event this weekend, with Hauora/health providers giving free health checks and vaccinations, and the marae putting on activities, movies, and a marae sleepover. They’ll also host an early morning Matariki viewing tomorrow morning.

ANZCO Foods Canterbury is donating meat for giveaways for this event. If you’re in the area and are keen to head along, book by emailing hakatere.marae@gmail.com.

Next Friday 28 June is the Matariki public holiday.
