Hato Hone St John Ambulance Update
Posted on Sunday, 23 February 2025
The ambulance ANZCO Foods provided after the 2019 mosque shootings has now been operating for more than four years in the Canterbury region.
In its lifetime, the ambulance has travelled 250,905 km and attended 7,458 incidents – that’s around five incidents a day - with 6,630 in Ashburton, and many more in the wider Canterbury region.
After the Christchurch mosque shootings in 2019, ANZCO employees, customers, and suppliers asked the company to identify a community initiative they all could contribute to. Based on the collective response of our emergency services, ANZCO Foods decided to provide an ambulance to Hato Hone St John. The ambulance and all those who work and travel in it were blessed at an official ceremony in August 2020.
