ANZCO Foods Waitara recently achieved a record result of jerky production in one week. The team aims to do 20 cooks per shift, producing between 375kg and 400kg of jerky per cook, while keeping up with quality targets such as ensuring each piece of jerky is laid flat and doesn’t overlap other pieces.

They not only achieved their daily target of 20 cooks per shift within the expected weight, but completed these cooks with 100% quality. This was due to lean manufacturing techniques introduced a few years ago, and decreased absenteeism at the site.
