Logistics develops new trailer

ANZCO Foods’ Logistics team developed a new trailer design that will increase how much we can load in each container.

The road weight limits dictate what we can load into a 40ft trailer – the maximum weight is 45t, and most truck, trailer, and containers weigh a combined 20 tonne, so we’ve been able to load 25 tonne only. This new trailer unit is 4.4t lighter, so we can now load up to 29.4t of product in each trailer. This product is currently destined for China. The increase in carrying capacity will save us around $530,000.

This project was a collaborative effort between ANZCO and the engineers at trucking company Uhlenburg – many thanks to the team that helped achieve this.
