Meet Emma Harrison

Information Security Analyst at Corporate Office

Emma is passionate about all things cybersecurity. In her role as Information Security Analyst, she coordinates user awareness training, and privacy and security risk assessments, and makes sure ANZCO is kept safe online. Since joining ANZCO in April 2023, she's been surprised to learn about all the moving parts of the business. She's part of the team behind Cyber Smart Week, now in it's second year, and enjoys seeing everyone across the business engage in cyber security during this week and beyond.

Before joining us, Emma worked at EECA as an Information Security Analyst, and at Ryman Healthcare as a Cyber Security Business Analyst. She has two claims to fame; the first is that her uncle's cousin was the captain of the only English team to win the FIFA world cup (that was Bobby Moore in 1996); and the second is that she was caught by Winston Peters while trying to secretly take his photo in a pub in Gisborne, but he was a good sport about it and shook her hand!

Outside of work, Emma enjoys learning Italian, trying new restaurants and food, travelling, and wine tasting. After a busy day, she'll unwind by going for a walk on her treadmill and watching something that ‘rots her brain’. She also has two boys, aged 11 and 13, who keep her busy.

Fun facts:

    What’s brown and sticky?

Italy! She lived in England for 3 years and never went - she'll get there one day.
  • What’s a controversial opinion you’ll fight to the end? Cats are better than dogs.
  • Favourite movie of all time?
There are too many good movies to choose from. The Harry Potter franchise helped her through some difficult times.
