Quality Assurance Officer at Manawatū

You can often find Petera out on the floor doing a whole lot of sampling as part of his Quality Assurance (QA) role at ANZCO Foods Manawatu.

He says he's enjoyed the opportunities for career progression at ANZCO - when he first joined us, he worked in the cutting room at Rangitikei, and then transferred to Manawatū's boning room. He then made the move into compliance, where he's now Manawatū's QA Officer. 

Petera has a unique claim to fame - you might recognise him as the face of the Family and Friends referral programme, where his photo was shared around sites on posters, postcards, and TV screens. When he first had his photo taken, he was new to ANZCO and quite shy, but has since taken his role as the face of the programme in his stride, and now keeps a copy of the postcard on his desk! 

When he's not at work he loves gardening - he's got a self-sustaining garden with vegetables, fruit trees, and a greenhouse. He also takes his ‘100% American’ dog (that's American Staffy crossed with American Pitbull!) out for long walks, then waters his garden when he gets home, and often pours himself a glass of red wine.
