Meet Sarah Asmussen
NPD Project Coordinator at Corporate Office
Sarah Asmussen is the go-to person for all new product ideas. She captures the ideas that people from across the business send in through the New Product Development form, researches them, and if they're viable, she oversees their development to becoming a completed product. She's also constantly on the lookout for new products from the food and beverage industry, and researches climate change and health and wellbeing trends.
She's worked at the ANZCO Foods Corporate Office for nearly a year and has been surprised at the variety of roles people have across the business. Since starting here, she's helped to develop the Angel Bay LTO Smoky Barbeque flavour which was released earlier this year, and the brand-new Angel Bay breakfast patty, which you'll be able to find in supermarkets soon.
Before joining ANZCO, she studied nutrition and food science at Otago University, and then spent five months playing cricket in Holland - she's also part of the Canterbury women's cricket team! Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, running, and cricket, and after a busy day she unwinds by going for a run, cooking a meal, and having a gin.
