Meet Victoria Sibley

Health and Safety Manager at ANZCO Foods Canterbury

Victoria (known around site as Vicky) is the Health and Safety Manager at ANZCO Foods Canterbury.

She's been at Canterbury for 22 years now, starting out in beef boning as a packer. While she was a packer, she became a Health and Safety Rep and First Aider, and eventually became a Team Leader. After 21 years as a packer, she became one of the site's Health and Safety Advisors. She moved into her role as Health and Safety Manager after begin an Advisor for seven months. She says that her role is to keep people safe on site.

She enjoys the great communication between everyone at ANZCO Foods Canterbury, and the good relationship managers have with supervisors. She's also enjoying seeing managers go around on-site and have safety conversations with people.

When she's not working, Victoria is a volunteer firefighter for the Ashburton Volunteers Fire Brigade. The volunteer firefighters are trained to respond to a variety of emergencies in the area, including wildfires, civil defence, and natural disasters. She also loves playing and watching sports, and now that her son has started playing sports, she'll often watch him play. After a busy day, she likes to put her feet up and have a beer.
