Meet Zane Wilson

Boning Supervisor (Red Shift) at ANZCO Foods Eltham

Zane has been at ANZCO Foods for one year - this time around! He originally started as a floor boy in the boning room on the blue shift, and worked his way up across the ten years he was here. He was then offered an opportunity to work towards a management role at another meat processing company in the area, but came back to ANZCO after being offered the supervisor role.

He says his role as a supervisor is about supporting the team, and making sure they have everything they need to complete their tasks while they're at work. He says after working in the meat industry since he was 16, nothing surprises him - but he enjoys the team - and the banter - that he gets every day.

When he's not at work, he's out in his shed working on his car, and maybe even having a few cold ones! He's also just finished building a house in Stratford, where he'll live with his two kids - an eleven-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl.

  Dream (white chocolate)
• If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
  Either back to Rarotonga, or to the US
• What's a controversial opinion you have?
  Only thing he buys in two litres is his milk (not vehicles!)

  He enjoys reading management books
