Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, with a focus on creating community connections to help you get through tough times. There were five different actions you could take for each of the five days throughout the week to help you build networks in your community.

  • Monday – do a small act of kindness for someone
  • Tuesday – support a local business or community organisation
  • Wednesday – contact someone you’d like to catch up with
  • Thursday – introduce yourself to someone new
  • Friday – show your gratitude to someone in your community

You can take these actions at any time, even if you’re not experiencing mental distress. Building communities around us helps boost our happiness and overall health.
