NEW SERIES: Meet the Team - Deb Parsons

Deb Parsons is ANZCO's Group ACC Advisor which means as the guardian of all things ACC, her role includes supporting our site staff and injured employees to get the best outcomes. Deb also manages the operation of our Drug and Alcohol programme, and acts as a crucial support pillar for the Human Resources team. It's a role filled with intricacies and challenges, but as Deb puts it, "It's all very interesting stuff!"

Although part of the corporate team, Deb is based in Blenheim and works from the ANZCO Foods Marlborough site. She started working for ANZCO Foods as an HR and Health & Safety Coordinator for ANZCO Foods Marlborough, and has been part of the ANZCO Foods team for an impressive 16 years.

Before joining the ANZCO ranks, Deb spent 13 years at the old Blenheim Workingmen’s Club, as the HR/Gaming Compliance Manager.

One of the most surprising revelations for Deb within ANZCO is the incredible talent and work that takes place in the other areas of the business. She says she is "constantly in awe of what others do in their roles and how knowledgeable they are."

Outside of work, Deb likes to unveil her green thumb in her garden. Weekends, however, see her and her hubby exploring the scenic sights of Marlborough (and beyond) on their motorbike.

In the aftermath of a busy day, Deb's relaxation ritual takes on an active form – walking, gardening, or cleaning. It's a testament to her vitality and commitment to maintaining balance. As a member of a family of seven, Deb thrives on connections and shared experiences.
