Rangitikei celebrates 20 years

ANZCO Foods Rangitikei is celebrating its 20th birthday. ANZCO built the site in 2005, and though it’s hard to find any records from the first production day, I’m told it processed a grand total of six carcasses on its first day.
In 2019 the site had an automated lamb cutting machine installed, followed by a loin boning machine in 2024. This technology helped the site set an impressive record of 800,000 carcasses processed in a year.
The site celebrated its anniversary with a barbeque on Thursday.
