Visit to Italy

Recently, Darryl Tones, GM of Operations, and Geoff Murdoch, Co-Products Manager, visited Italy for their annual trip to meet with buyers for ANZCO Foods’ calf skins. ANZCO maintains direct relationships with renowned Italian tanneries that supply high-end fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel. New Zealand's calf skins, processed at a younger age compared to the global standard, are highly sought after in the Italian fashion market. Approximately 60% of our highest-grade calf skins are exported to Italy, while the remaining medium-grade skins are sent to China for tanning.
