Well done Green Island team

Shout out to Josh, Dennis, Dave, Sarah, and Terry of ANZCO Foods Green Island, who responded quickly to a fire in the lunchroom this week.

Their coordinated actions with Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) ensured the site was evacuated safely, with roll call completed in less than three minutes.

FENZ removed wall panels and confirmed the fire hadn’t spread. Contractor Nind Electrical Services supported the FENZ Fire Investigator in identifying the cause – a flush box next to a heater – and confirmed the area was electrically safe.

Thanks to the Green Island team, FENZ, and Nind Electrical Services for helping to make sure the building is safe and ready to resume operations.
