Well done Marlborough staff

The importance of first aid training was brought home today [Monday] when ANZCO Foods Marlborough staff acted quickly following a potentially serious knife injury on site.

The team had taken part in refresher training last week and quickly applied a tourniquet to stem the blood flow, positively impacting the outcome for the injured employee.

While we don’t want anyone to get hurt at work, it’s a positive thing when your workmates know what to do and their actions make a difference.

Hato Hone St John wrote to the site after attending the accident to recognising the team’s swift actions saying “it is easy to recognise the professionalism and in manner which your staff handle emergencies”.
