NZFAP Plus

New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme Plus (NZFAP Plus)

ANZCO Foods is a participating member of NZFAP Plus, a voluntary, higher-level standard that builds on NZFAP. It focuses on people, the environment, and biosecurity across farm systems.

The standard aims to:

  • -  Protect and enhance all farm and natural resources
  • -  Enhance the efficiency and sustainability of systems
  • -  Develop socially responsible and ethical practices

The NZFAP Plus fact sheet will help you understand your status, the NZFAP Plus process, and the support and resources available.

Core components of NZFAP Plus

Demonstrating responsibility with NZFAP Plus
NZFAP Plus verifies that New Zealand farmers are meeting high standards of social, ethical, and environmental responsibility through robust record-keeping and farm practices. It provides assurance that farmers are actively caring for their environment, people, and biosecurity.

Integrated Farm Planning (IFP) plays a key role in NZFAP Plus, aligning closely with its core principles. Many farmers already have elements of an IFP in place, and catchment or farmer groups often run workshops to support this process.

Benefits of NZFAP Plus accreditation

ANZCO Foods is currently offering exclusive incentives to producers who achieve NZFAP Plus accreditation:

  • $0.10/kg CW premium on contracted, in-spec lamb, prime steer/heifer (PSH), and bull
  • $1,000 rebate for the first 50 certified suppliers from 1 January 2025
  • Double ANZCO Advantage points for members
Additional benefits of NZFAP Plus implementation:
  • Make informed, efficient decisions using historical records and trends
  • Track and recognise on-farm improvements
  • Enhance resource efficiency across environment, people, livestock, and time
  • Support sound management decisions and identify new opportunities
  • Future-proof your farm business
