Important information for farmers using paper ASDs
Posted on Monday, 16 May 2022
It has come to our attention that there have been some challenges completing paper ASD forms across ANZCO’s supplier base.
We are unable to process stock unless it is accompanied by a correctly filled-out ASD form that is accepted by our onsite compliance team and MPI.
Please note: If you move stock without a completed ASD or without the correct pre-movement test (TB), you may be prosecuted, and the stock may be redirected back to your property.
We have put together some information to help clarify some key areas and support you to fill out the form correctly. The area many people seem to find particularly challenging is Section 6 – TB Declaration.
Please find below links to:
- A completed example of the paper ASD you can use as a guide, as well as additional information to help make completing the form easier. Please note this is an example only and you may have different yes/no answers in Sections 1 to 7 depending on your circumstances.
- A blank version of the paper ASD. Please make sure you are using this version of the form.
There is also an electronic ASD (eASD) available as an alternative to the paper-based ASD form which many people find easier to use. You can register for the eASD here: eASD Animal Status Declaration
If you have any questions on the ASD please get in touch with Ospri.
