Who are we?

• Erika Bergmans – Quality Assurance Co-ordinator: Originally from Taranaki I grew up on a dairy farm in Southland. After being a vet nurse for 11 years I joined the ANZCO team in December 2021. I have a Diploma in Project Management and Business Management as well as Veterinary Nursing. Farming has been a passion for as long as I can remember. I love being in a role where I can offer support and access to resources to help our farming industry in any way we can.
• Valerie Walpot – Senior Quality Assurance Advisor: Originally from Belgium, I emigrated after doing a degree in Agricultural Production in the Netherlands. Since then, I have worked on sheep and beef farms throughout New Zealand and joined ANZCO in December last year. I am passionate about animal and pastoral production and supporting sustainability. I enjoy helping farmers and thrive on working to contribute to a better future for our beautiful red meat industry.

 

What do we do?

In our roles we ensure suppliers of livestock meet all the necessary quality assurance standards including the new voluntary NZFAP+ standard. Working with AsureQuality, NZFAI and all other stakeholders, we are the bridge between farm and market access.
