Forklift safety is important for everyone on site, whether you drive a forklift, work onsite around forklifts, or are visiting an area that uses forklifts.
Keep these handy tips in mind if you drive forklifts:
- Make and maintain eye contact with pedestrians
- Complete and record the pre-operational check. If anything is faulty, don’t use the forklift
- Be aware of changes in conditions when travelling through different areas, such as light levels and if the floor is wet, slippery, or uneven
