Keeping it together during the holidays is sometimes no easy feat; between last-minute shopping, chaotic family time, and the urge to wolf down everything in sight, it’s no wonder we feel a bit stressed out.
To help you through the madness, we’ve pulled together our best tips and advice…basically everything you need to keep those spirits bright - and keep safe - through the silly season.
Walk away from worries
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take some time out; go for a walk. Go to a place that is calming for you - the beach, a park, or a special place that helps you unwind.
Put aside perfection
Don’t be obsessed with doing it all. Do less, enjoy more!
Bust out the jams
Whether it’s Mariah’s ‘All I want for Christmas’, AC/DC’s ‘Thunderstruck’, or Beethoven’s ‘Fur Elise’, music can help raise our spirits and reduce stress and anxiety.
Work it out
Health can be the first thing to fall by the wayside, but fitness routines are especially important at this time of year. Not only does exercise help relieve holiday insanity, but working out can actually give us more energy when we feel exhausted.
Sleep
Stick to a regular sleep schedule, even on the weekends and when you’re on holiday. Take a nap if you need it!
Appreciate the small things
Enjoy the sunshine, take time to smell the flowers, or read a book.
