Keeping your home warm and dry helps you stay healthy and reduce your power bills this winter.
Check out these tips to help you do this:
- Dry your clothes outside, near an open window, or in a dryer that’s vented to outside, to avoid the moisture from your clothes making your home damp and cold
- Shut doors to rooms you don’t need to heat, and close curtains before the sun sets to keep the heat in
- If you have a draught, tighten hinges on doors and windows and use draught-stopping tape around windows and doors. If you don’t have draught-stoppers you can roll up a towel and place it against doors to stop draughts
- Open windows or use an extractor fan when having a shower
