Safer Farms – Your two cents on farm vehicle safety could be worth $500!

Earlier this week, Safer Farms commenced a campaign calling on the rural community to share stories on near misses, their learnings, and the changes they’ve made to keep their workers, families, and themselves safe on farm.

Vehicles are almost always involved when someone dies as a result of a farm accident. Did you know that WorkSafe recorded 22 fatalities involving quad bikes from 2019 to 2023?

Those statistics are shocking to all of us and the team at Safer Farms wants to hear from the people that know farm vehicles best and are looking to film stories and share them, along with data and insights, on the causes and impacts of farm vehicle accidents, as well as the solutions.
